Not only that, but with Darkstalker enchanting all of Turtle's friends to like him, Turtle is left completely alone and helpless. Turtle, possibly the strongest protagonist we've had so far (by being an animus) can't even lay a claw on Darkstalker? If that isn't already terrifying, I don't know what is. In Talons of Power, from the very start, Turtle shows total terror towards Darkstalker, and this is chilling. The emotional Impact that Talons of Power leaves to the readers is a perfect set up for it's sequel. For Tui to have ordered Turtle's book to come right before Qibli's was genius. While, Yes, you could argue that ALL the main characters of the second arc support book 10 (And they do!) I feel that Turtle had the most impact on us as readers heading over to the last book of the second arc. This book was phenomenal, and here's why. So when I started Wings of Fire Darkness of Dragons, I honestly thought book 10 was going to be the last of the books, and I'm happy to know that the series is still continuing, but with that being said, I went into this book expecting a grand finale and I'm happy to say that I wasn't let down.ĭarkness of Dragons was an amazing ride, everything from the main character Qibli, to how Darkstalker was triumphantly beaten, to the way the pacing of the story played out all according to the overall theme of Wings of Fire. Feel free to comment your opinions on anything Wings of Fire!) Also sorry for being long, just had to get my points across.
